Blackdog All Breed Dog Rescue is a licensed, all volunteer, not for profit organization dedicated to the rescue and rehabilitation of abandoned dogs from high kill shelters. Working with committed volunteers, foster homes, local veterinarians and trainers we are able to provide compassionate care for our dogs in need until their forever home is found.
We rescue dogs that are scheduled for euthanasia at the shelters here in IL & NC.

Additional adoption info
Going to our website and filing out an application is the first step in our adoption process. We ask for references on the application & will contact them before proceeding further. We also require a meet & greet with the dog/puppy up for adoption & any & all dogs & family members living in the home. We will at the time of the meet & greet do the home visit check. All Dogs & puppies are up to date on their vaccinations. The adoption fee covers vaccinations, Rabies Vaccine, Bordatella, Spay or Neutering & Microchip. All dogs & puppies go through a course of deworming & have fecal tests done. Everyone is started on Heartworm preventative & Flea/Tick preventative. We try & temperament test all of our dogs to the best of our ability in order to match up the dog with the right family. All dogs/puppies are in foster homes so they are used to the home environment where they can work on potty training & behavioral training prior to being placed in their loving new homes. Adoption fees are puppies up to 1 year $350, Dogs 1 year and older $300
