All of our employees love animals and are dedicated to treating them with love and compassion while they are in our care. We also do our very best to find them Adoptiove Homes or a safe place with approved Rescue Groups.

We serve residents of St. John the Baptist Parish with Animal Control functions. We pick up unwanted stray and companion animals and provide as safe enviornment where they can be placed for adoption or held safely until their owner comes to claim them.

The St. John the Baptist Parish Animal Shelter has an Adoption Application that we require be completed and approved prior to any adoption. We also require a $80.00, $100.00 or $130.00 Adoption Fee for our animals. Our shelter provides Immunizations (including a 3 year rabies vaccine) , a Health Exam, Spay/Neuter, Microchip and Microchip Registration with all Adoptions. The 130.00 adoption fee covers animals that receive Heartworm Testing. (Heartworm testing is for dogs over 6 months of age) The 80.00 fee is for all cats and kittens. The $100.00 fee is for puppies under 6 months that are too young for a Heartworm Test or Adults that already have a current Heartworm Test provided by a former owner. All services are provided by our local Veterinary Hospitals.
