in the early 90's a small group of concerned citizens came to the realization of how over-crowded and inadequate county shelter. We began working with the Shelter for improvements and to enlarge it. We were able to improve conditions and were able to expose the dogs to many rescue groups and eventually organize a pretty good dog transfer. However, the hounds were still left and no one was very interested so we decided to start a new rescue focusing and highlighting "The HOUNDS".
