Simpawtico Animal Hospice of Santa Cruz County mainly offers hospice and palliative care to injured or terminally ill companion animals.
We also offer pet care and re-homing services to companion animals whose people are human hospice patients facing end-of-life issues.
We are a small non-profit corporation, created in 2012 to benefit Santa Cruz County critters and their people.

Additional adoption info
There are no fees to adopt an animal from us, but you must fill out an application, pass an interview and a home visit so that we can be sure we have the best fit for you and the critter.
Some of the animals may have their medical and/or living expenses covered by a trust created by their previous owner (who is terminally ill or deceased). If so, there will be a trustee involved that will do periodic check-ups on the animal's well-being. We do not share the financial information until AFTER you have agreed to adopt the animal.
