Companion4Life

Dog rescue in East Hartford, CT

Companions 4 Life Rescue was recently formed by a group of experienced rescuers and volunteers. We take in dogs from the northeast area. Together over the past 8 years, our efforts have helped to save nearly 2,000 dogs. Our dogs are rescued from kill shelters. We also take in dogs that are surrendered by their owners. Our work is tireless and frequently heartbreaking because we cannot save everyone but for each dog that we do save, a life is changed forever.

All of our dogs undergo an initial veterinary screening, and medical treatment as required. Only dogs with socially acceptable behaviors, which can be responsibly placed, will be offered for adoption. All of our dogs offered for adoption have been vaccinated, spayed or neutered, started on heart worm prevention and have received treatment for any prevailing medical or health conditions. All of our dogs are microchipped as well.
