We are a network of volunteers who are passionate about animal welfare and have been quietly rehoming dogs for over 40 years. Our mission is to rehome homeless, unwanted or abused animals after ensuring that they are neutered/spayed and evaluated. We specialize in sporting dog breeds such as Pointers, Retrievers, Vizslas, Weimaraners and Dobermans, but will find a loving home for any breed of dog in need, particularly seniors.
We rely on public donations to continue our work, with our largest expense being veterinary services. Each dog that arrives with us receives a physical exam and spaying or neutering, if required. Many of the dogs we rescue, come to us malnourished or unhealthy because they have been neglected. We help dogs who are abandoned, relinquished, or available due to:
- Cruelty;
- Age or health;
- Neglect;
- Hardship;
- Divorce;
- Moving (where pets are not permitted or cannot make the journey);
- Lifestyle changes (starting a family);
- Death (or illness) of the owner;
- Imminent euthanasia in over-crowded shelters;
- Unwanted pets (e.g. puppies from unplanned litters) released into rural areas.
If you would like to contribute to animal welfare in your community we are always interested in hearing from you! We appreciate any volunteer help for fostering, advertising, fund-raising, transport, etc. If you cannot help out in person, but would still like to contribute to the welfare of these animals that find themselves in dire need, we welcome your assistance through the donation of funds or by sponsoring a particular dog's medical needs.
