i've worked in animal rescue since 1999 when i opened a dog boutique in bar habor, maine called bark harbor and went to a best friends conference. i sold the business in 2008 and have devoted 24/7 and obscene amounts of money to the cause of ending homelessness in pets. I lobby, protest, pull from shelters, worked with 2 large groups, Underdog rescue and honor animal rescue here in Sarasota. I've transported for many groups, donated and supported these groups. Be the Change Rescue, Underdog Rescue, Honr Rescue, United yorkies, Bratpack Rescue, and have worked with Bones (beagles of new england), Greyhound friends in Hopkinton (we adopted a dog in 19995 from them), Yorkiesinc in taunton mass (i have 3 adoptees and my sister has 2), and have adopted 2 family dogs from underdog after more than i count! Friends forever, Miami, Bratpack, Honor Sanctuary, Hancock County SPCA and many others are groups i've worked with and recommend. underdog rescue i coordinated adoption events, computer database entry and volunteer coordination (a strong point), vet appointments, vet protocol, volunteer package and references. We are not affiliated with Tampa Bay Yorkie Rescue and have been notified that they are "breeding" not rescuing.
