*To provide exceptional care for homeless animals
*To promote spaying/neutering, microchipping and humane education
*To place homeless cats and dogs in permanent, loving homes



At Mt. Pleasant Animal Shelter, no animal is ever euthanized for lack of space.

Additional adoption info

All adopters must fill out an application. Everyone living in the home must meet with the dog or cat prior to adoption.
If the adopters have owned pets before or currently own a pet, their vet contact information must be provided.Renters must provide lease information indicating they are allowed to have a pet in their home.If there is another dog in the home, all dogs must be formally introduced by our adoption counselors.

Fees: Dogs (over 6 months old) $250.00, Puppies (under 6 months old) $300.00. Cats (over 6 months old) $125.00, Kittens (under 6 months old) $150.00
