Happy Tales Humane

Animal shelter in Franklin, TN

Happy Tales Humane is a privately funded 501(c)(3) no-kill animal shelter located in Franklin, Tennessee, about 15 miles south of Nashville. In 1996, our founder Marcy Payne fulfilled her vision to establish Tennessee's first no-kill animal shelter. At that time, Happy Tales operated as a virtual shelter housing all animals in dedicated foster homes. In 2000, Happy Tales opened a shelter for cats in The Factory at Franklin. We are dedicated to our mission of providing humane, no-kill options for homeless and neglected animals in Middle Tennessee.
