Pets Are Worth Saving

Dog rescue in Corona, CA

Our Mission

The purpose of PETS ARE WORTH SAVING (PAWS) is to place stray, abandoned, and unwanted shelter animals into desirable, loving homes. All animals that are rescued from local shelters are placed in foster homes where they will receive love, attention, and medical care before being placed with their new families. We work hard to prevent the mistreatment of animals, impede animal over population and encourage responsible pet ownership through education and outreach with the public. PAWS makes every effort to establish and maintain close working relationships with local animal shelters to hopefully one day end euthanasia of adoptable shelter pets.

Who We Are

PETS ARE WORTH SAVING “PAWS” is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization comprised of compassionate volunteers who have made it their mission to help all adoptable animals living in City shelters find safe, permanent homes that will provide them with the dignity and love they so richly deserve.

Our wonderful group of volunteers met each other helping animals at the Corona Shelter and worked together for approximately 3 years before making the decision to form our own non-profit group, known as PETS ARE WORTH SAVING (PAWS). Our mutual love of animals and our desire to give these beautiful creatures the opportunity for eternal happiness is what drives us to free them from shelters for placement in forever homes.

What The Future Holds…..

PAWS would someday like to expand our operation by opening a permanent location that will serve as a safe haven for animals and provide education for people that wish to learn more about pet care and issues that affect all cats and dogs. To reach this goal, we will need to rely on the generosity of donors, apply for grant funds, and hold various fundraising events to raise the money necessary to realize our dream.
