Additional adoption info

An application must be filled out before adoptions are granted.

Dog adoptions are $100 plus a $50.00 deposit for a spay/neuter surgery. Total adoption fee $150.00. Once the surgery is completed and we receive paperwork back from the veterinarian's office, we will refund you back your deposit.

Cat adoptions are $65.00 plus a $35.00 deposit for a spay/neuter surgery. Total adoption fee $100.00. Once the surgery is completed and we receive paperwork back from the veterinarian's office, we will refund you back your deposit.

Included with the dog adoptions are the pet's spay or neuter surgery, rabies vaccination, parvo/distemper inoculation, goodie bag, a collar with id tag, and a training leash. Cat adoptions include the pet's spay or neuter surgery, rabies vaccination, feline distemper vaccination, collar, id tag, and a goodie bag. Dogs and cats are given at least a first worming and may have been provided other veterinarian procedures, such as dental care, as needed. An adoption application can be found at www.hshc-paws.org

No pet that has not been altered will be adopted outside of our county due to Texas State law requiring all pets to be altered that come from a shelter or rescue. If they are to young we will adopt out locally so they can be brought back for surgery when they are old enough.
