Safe Haven Animal Care Kennels (The SHACK) is a rescue organization located in Semmes, AL. All of our members have been working in animal rescue for years. We believe that, being given dominion over the animals by our God, it is our moral and ethical responsibility to care for and protect them to the best of our ability. We work hand in hand with other rescue groups across the country, networking animals for rescue and adoption.

Additional adoption info
All potential adopters must complete an adoption application which is thoroughly screened and references checked. Adopters are then required to sign an adoption contract. Adoption fees are $95 for dogs and $70 for cats, and includes rabies vaccine and spay/neuter of the animal. If the animal is not old enough for these at the time of adoption, a coordinator will follow up with the adopter to ensure these vaccines and procedures are completed.
