Additional adoption info
Our adoption process is based out of a state law that requires all animals that are adopted thru our shelter be spayed or neutered. Only if for medical reasons or no Veterinarian is available can a dog or cat leave the shelter without being spayed or neutered. A deposit must then be left to insure the surgery is done within 30 days. The deposit is then returned after proof of sterilization is provided. Our adoption fee is $10.00 dollars and the adopter must pay for the sterilization, rabies shot and license if the dog is to remain in our County. When funds are available we will pay for half of the cost to sterilize the animal. All dogs are given distempe/parvo and kennel cough shots. All surgeries are done by grant participating veterinarians in our area.
