Since 2003 PAWS of Coronado has worked with the Coronado Animal Care Facility to provide shelter and find homes for orphaned cats, kittens and dogs relinquished by their guardians, stray or abandoned cats, and cats rescued from abuse or neglect.
We are a small grass roots organization committed to 100 percent placement of adoptable animals and envision a time when every friendly, healthy, homeless animal in our community can be cared for until a new family is found.
Our cats are extremely socialized, relaxed, trusting and loving in large part to our cat petting program. Our dogs are equally socialized and trained due to the dog walking program. The caring hands and hearts of the volunteers and ACF staff help the animals thrive even in a facility environment.
You can become involved with PAWS of Coronado as a volunteer or as a member (there are a variety of levels of annual dues) or by contributing a memorial plaque for the Memorial Wall at the Coronado Animal Care Facility.
