I am an active member of Col Potter Cairn Rescue Network. We are a 501 (c)3 not for profit dog rescue with over 750 volunteer members across the US and Canada. This year we will celebrate our 11 year anniversary. We have finished publication of our third volume cookbook with recipes from members, guests, and friends. As stated above, Col. Potter is a breed specific rescue group with over 750 members all over the US and Canada. We do not operate out of a building, but instead by a network of volunteer foster homes who work very hard to care for and find homes for Cairn Terriers (Toto’s). Our dogs come from 'puppy mills', shelters and by owner surrender. Last year, 434 dogs found forever homes through Col Potter, and to date over 2800 have been rescued. People have found their way to our website, seen the faces of fosters, read their stories (our foster homes send updates regularly on how the dogs are progressing), watched their videos and went through the process to adopt. We've had the privilege of offering post-adoption support and have many happily ever after stories we could tell. Our cookbook is a large fundraiser effort for us and we depend on the sales to maintain our level of care for these dogs.
We are blessed to have a strong base of volunteers who do so much, but as you can imagine, each dog's vet care still costs money. Our endeavor is to raise this money through fundraisers like this cookbook so that we do not have to turn dogs away...next year we'd love to say was rescued 500 or more.
Hopefully I have peaked your interest enough so that we may be able to work together in some way. Our passion for rescuing and placing these little ones into loving homes is contagious; you just have to see it to believe it.
Our motto is “Saving just one dog won’t change the world but it surely will change the world for that one dog.”
We look forward to hearing from you,

I belong to a rescue group, Col Potter Cairn Terrier www.cairnrescue.com The video I have attached are before and after pictures of cairns we have rescued. We have a unique rescue as there are no paid members, no buildings and no cages. We have over 750 members all over the US & Canada that work every day to make sure that every dog we rescue recieves medical treatment, a foster home to show them how to live with a family and match them to the perfect forever home. This is no small task, but last year we found homes for 434 cairns . Most of our dogs are rescued from puppy mills but we also are given cairns from shelters & owner surrender. Doing all this from commuicating with one another online. We need help to get our word out. Please watch our video and look at the before and after pictures of some of the dogs that have passed through the loving arms of Colonel Potter.

Additional adoption info
You would need to fill out an application, we then have a member in your area do a Home Savety Visit. We call the veterniarn that the home uses or has in the past. Ask for references and contact them. Our Matchmakers team works with the home to match them with the perfect cairn for the home. Upon adoption the home would make the arrangements for the transport of the dog, but we continue to help with this process as we do have a transport team too. Cost would be according to the age of the dog and we would ask that as a donation. So many friends and new members are made every time one of our little ones are adopted.
