We are a No-Kill Shelter and Rescue Group that operates solely on donations. We receive NO State, Local or Government help We are run by hard working volunteers with a mission to save lives. We have fundraisers among other things to raise much needed funds. These donations help us continue our day to day operations in keeping the RCHS shelter open and to save and rescue many neglected, abused and forgotten animals. We are the voice for them. Some of our adoptable pets are in foster homes which helps them to adjust to becoming a better family member. We are always in need of more foster homes. We strive to find them loving FUR-EVER homes that will take the time, patience and understanding the animals deserve, so they will never be tossed in a ditch or a shelter situation again. WE CARE VERY MUCH FOR EVERY SINGLE ANIMAL as if they were our own.

Additional adoption info
Our dog adoption fees are $250, but some cases are looked at to give them homes, ie: senior dogs, and those that have been in the shelter situation much too long, we are willing to talk, of course puppies are the biggest cost and we put a lot into them. Our adoption fees help offset the cost of vetting and care the animal receives before going to their new home: spay/neuter, vaccinations, worming, ear cleaning, rabies vaccination and certificates, micro chipping, fecal float, flea prevention, heart worm testing, and any emergency related vet bills (such as c-sections, amputations etc) and all basic care. Heartworm preventative is administered ONLY after the animal has tested negative. (If they test POSITIVE for Heartworms, treatment is only administered by a vet and will be under their care through the treatment plan which can be as long as 4-6 months.
THIS IS A DEADLY DISEASE transmitted by a mosquito. Monthly Heartworm PREVENTATIVE protects them from becoming infected.
For answers to any questions or adoption consideration, we require a pre adopt application to be completed, background checks are done and paperwork is seen by the adoption committee. You will be notified if selected. (THIS FORM DOES NOT GUARANTEE ADOPTION.
We get many applications and we try to select the best home that we can for the animal. Be patient as we are all volunteers. ALL Volunteers have other jobs and are raising families along with saving the animals lives. You will be notified if selected via email or by phone. PLEASE do not take it personal if you are not selected. We strive to give the animals the best of care, which they deserve, while at our facility. Including proper vet care when needed in an emergency
