Our mission is to provide a safe and nurturing environment for abandoned and mistreated dogs and cats until they can be placed in loving homes.
​Saint Frances Animal Center is proudly apart of the No Kill South Carolina Initiative.
Raising awareness through public education, community outreach and a wellness clinic, we seek to promote respect for the live of cats and dogs by breaking the cycle of abuse, neglect and pet overpopulation in our community.

Shelter FAQs

We are located in Georgetown, SC. We have many adopters, foster homes, and volunteers from Myrtle Beach to Charleston. We take in animals brought in by animal control.

Walk-in adoptions are welcome during business hours. We are open M-F from 11-5 and Sat from 11-4.
We check vet references and all of your current pets must be up to date on vaccines, heartworm preventative, and spayed/neutered.
If walking in during our business hours to adopt, please make sure to bring other dogs in the household and any children the dog will be around. We like to make sure it's a great fit for your home before you get home!
Adoption fees range from $45-$150 depending on breed and the amount of medical cost we have incurred.
All Saint Frances Animal Center's animals are spayed/neutered, up to date on vaccinations, and microchipped before they go home.
