We are a group of volunteers who got tired of seeing all the stray animals roaming the streets, suffering, starving, mutliplying, getting hit by cars and spreading disease. Not many people spayed or neutered their pets.We wanted a safe haven for the unwanted animals and a way to educate the public the importance of spaying and neutering, thus began our shelter in 2003.
We started with only a handful of volunteers and a dream of a place where animals would be safe.
We are currently housing 93 dogs and puppies and 18 cats and kittens in the shelter and foster homes.
We are a 501c3 organization operated by volunteers only. Our only source of income is public donations and fund raisers. It takes a lot to feed, clean, provide medical care and the attention our animals need.
How can you help? What about adopting? No room? How about volunteering a few hours of your time? We have to feed, clean and give attention daily. No time to spare? Donations are always needed and appreicated. We try to give our animals everything they need to make them happy until they find their forever home.Toys and treats are expensive.
