I discovered the conditions at the county dog pound were pretty bad. Lack of funding made it a hold and kill shelter. I found that I could find homes for dogs at horse shows and that started the rescue. I rescued over 70 dogs in 2010, and over 200 in 2011. My goal is to eliminate euthanasia as a means of animal control in this county.UPDATE:I'm happy to say that at this point in time2015 there are very few euthanized dogs in my county.
All my dogs are taken into my home and treated as one of the family. They are all well socialized and good with kids They are all exposed to cats and horses as well.
