Additional adoption info
If you would like us to look for your "perfect match" Westie friend please visit our web site at www.glwrescue.org and fill out our online application.
Adopters are asked to complete an "Adoption Application". Applicants are required to list 2 non-family references and their regular care veterinarian for contact. Upon review of the application they will be contacted to discuss possible matches. If a possible match is found a home visit is scheduled for the family. Upon agreement that we have a good match an "Adoption Contract" is completed and signed. Our adoption fee is based on the specific Westie, depending on age, health, etc. We do not adopt Westies into homes with children under the age of 8 years. The Adoption Donation for our Westies is $300.00. Senior and special needs Westies may have a reduced donation amount.
