Story
George This great little guy came to Fuzzy Pawz when his elderly owner could no longer care for him. This senior Coton is 12 years old and only has one tooth left, so a soft diet is necessary. His prior owner pee pad trained him and in his foster home he has had a couple of accidents when he first arrived but has not had any recently and has been following the other dogs in the foster home outside to do his business. He gets along well with the dogs and cat in his foster home even though he is still very shy and unsure. He has been very quiet since coming to his foster home but is slowly becoming more social. He loves his walk and is crate trained. Recently after being groomed the groomer said he was a perfect gentleman for her. With some patience to let him get used to his new George will make someone a great companion. Story
Boss may like to act like he’s in charge, but underneath that tough-guy charm is a total sweetheart. Though he’s missing one eye and doesn’t hear very well, that doesn’t slow him down one bit! He’s still very mobile, easily using a doggy door to go in and out as he pleases. Boss loves a good pet, and the moment you give him one, he’ll roll right over for endless belly rubs. He enjoys wandering outside, rolling in the grass, and soaking up the sunshine. Boss is not house trained and would need a considerate person to help train him. He’s also great in the car and gets along wonderfully with all the other dogs in his home. If you’re looking for a lovable companion with a little bit of spunk, Boss is ready to win your heart! Some have speculated that I have been named after the famous actress of the fifties Ava Gardner. Now Ms. Gardner was drop dead gorgeous and as you can see, we obviously have that in common. However my namesake had a bit of a reputation as a diva, and nothing could be further from the truth with me. Well, that might be a bit of a strong statement. I am a really nice girl as long as you give me my space when I let you know. For example, I like to be petted, but I will give you signals when I would prefer to be left alone. I love to play, and have a fondness for cat wands. I also like to hang out in my cat tree and keep track of the goings on in the neighborhood. If you come home and can’t find me, check the shower or sink. I like dripping water. I live with 2 small dogs and 2 other cats and we all get along nicely. I would prefer a home with older children who can respect my boundaries, but otherwise, I would be a really nice companion! People in the past declawed my front paws so I MUST be an indoor only cat.

Story
Located in: Boise, ID Breed: Pug Mix Age: 6 Adoption fee: $35.00 + $17.99 microchip registration fee This handsome gentleman goes by many names. Stumpy, AKA Sir Stumpington, Mister Sir, The Stumpmiester, Stump, Bubba Dub, Lord of the Underbite and many other absurd nicknames. This charming lad doesn’t care what he’s called, only that you’re talking to him. Stumpy is a sweet boy with a delightful underbite and so much spunk. He is about 6 years old, with a nice blend of chaotic playful energy and a love of lounging and naps. He is the king of zoomies, loves to carry his food bowl around, and is notorious for stealing blankets off of chairs to add to his dragon hoard (his bed nest). Despite all of his charisma, Stumpy is in need of a very special adopter who is patient, caring and willing to keep working through his quirks. Unfortunately, Stumpy has some major beef with his butt. It may be neurological, behavioral, or trauma related, but Stumpy seems to not realize that his tail and butt are indeed part of his body. This leads him to squabble with his own booty on a fairly regular basis. He has been treated medically and there is no physical medical concern to his body that is leading to this behavior. He takes daily medication to help with stress related to this issue. As funny as it may seem, it has left some serious consequences for him. He traumatically injured his own tail leading to an emergency amputation. Things that are normally relaxing and fun for dogs like: eating, kongs, and any food related enrichment, are quite stressful for him. He will resource guard any food related fun from his own back end. He does best when eating with a soft cone on that blocks the view of his behind. He does better if you watch him eat as you can verbally tell him to snap out of it and he also feels safer with you watching his back. Stump was found as a stray and very little is known about his past. He was unaltered and was not potty trained upon arrival to Fuzzy Pawz and it is suspected based on his thick coat, state of his feet and marking behavior that he was an outdoor dog. He has made great strides in potty training and as long as you let him out at regular intervals, he tends to stay accident free. He may need some continued assistance with potty training when transitioning to a new environment. Sir Stumpington is currently in foster with both cats and dogs and has done well with both. He does need a structured introduction to new dogs but quickly warms up. He has done great with living with multiple dogs but is not a dog recommended to visit dog parts or off leash dog areas as he quickly can become overwhelmed. He has done well with backyard chickens and ducks. He would do best in an adult-only home. Despite all his quirks, this little guy makes up for it with his hilarious personality. He is incredibly smart, easy to train, and eager to learn more tricks and commands.

Story
Lola is a 4.5-month-old hound mix whose sweet personality has really bloomed over the last week. She has come out of her shell and loves being near her people and hanging out with the other dogs in her foster home. She enjoys exploring the yard, lounging nearby, and absolutely loves going on walks—she trots right along and loves to sniff and take in the world around her. Lola is crate trained and sleeps through the night, and she does great in her crate when her foster family is away. She is mostly potty trained and does well as long as she is given regular breaks, especially after meals. She’s a smart girl who is eager to please and continues to learn every day. Lola would make a wonderful companion for someone who likes to get outside, enjoys a loyal friend by their side, and maybe has another friendly dog for her to pal around with. She’s gentle, loving, playful, and ready for her forever family. To apply directly for Lola, push the "Apply for Adoption" button. https://www.shelterluv.com/embed/animal/FODS-A-776 All our dogs come with 30 days of free post-adoption support through Petcademy.org.
