Luvin Labs is a non profit organization whose goal is to find loving homes for loving labs through rescue and rehoming. Luvin Labs works with shelters and other rescue organizations throughout the state of New Mexico rescuing labs and lab crosses, sometimes moments before euthanasia. We also work with responsible owner’s who for a myriad of reasons are forced to find a new home for their loving lab. All of our adoptive families and foster families are required to spay or neuter their lab.
Luvin Labs will also work with families of labs with medical issues helping out as our resources allow. For assistance with lab related issues please see our Take Action page.
Luvin’ Labs was started first with an overall love for animals, second because of the personal relationships both of us have had the fortune to have with Labrador Retrievers. We are both business professionals with full time jobs in the Albuquerque area who have devoted ourselves to rescuing and rehoming this great breed of dog.
Thank you for taking the time to visit our site, read about us, and hopefully consider adding your next four legged family member with our help!

Luvin’ Labs is a Labrador Retriever Rescue. We are a foster based New Mexico rescue. We are dedicated to finding loving homes for Labrador Retrievers through rescue and rehoming. We currently do not have dogs on site, rather we rely on donations for boarding and fabulous fosters to keep our labs until they find their forever homes!
Luvin’ Labs works with shelters and rescue organizations throughout the state. We also work with owner’s of Labs who for a myriad of reasons need to find a loving home for their Labrador Retriever.
Postings on our website include dogs in our program, as well as Labrador Retrievers in danger in shelters throughout the state of New Mexico.
Additional adoption info
To adopt of foster one of our labs we require an application, interview and home visit.
To finalize the adoption we require that all animals be altered. Adoption donations are between a $95.00-$150.00 donation to Lodestar Dog Ranch. Adoption donations are used offset medical costs associated with vaccinating, alterering and microchiping available labs. Additional donations are used to help us continue our work with rescuing, rehoming, and assisting with medical care for Labrador Retrievers.
When each of our labs is placed we have a two week pending period where we require contact and updates from the adopted. The pending period allows the labs to have time to transition in to a new home, learn your routines, acclimate from any trauma encountered from transition and ensures that we have placed the right lab in the right home with the right family.
We have an emotional commitment to every lab that we work with and ask that if you are ever in a situation where you need to rehome a lab you have adopted from us that you allow us to help in finding their perfect home.
