Additional adoption info

We appreciate your interest in saving a life by adopting a rescued dog or puppy.

Our goal is to adopt rescued dogs by matching them with permanent suitable loving homes.

Based in Newport Beach, we serve Orange County and nearby surrounding areas.

ADOPTION PROCESS:

1. MEET AVAILABLE DOGS & PUPPIES AT ADOPTION EVENT

• You can meet and apply to adopt our available dogs and puppies on Sunday at our weekly adoption events.

• We accept applications from 12:00 – 3:00. Adoptions are NOT first-come, first-served so no need to arrive before 12:00. We suggest you come to an event when you have time to enjoy visiting with the dogs and not feel rushed. Please note: Our events end at 3:00 sharp.

• We highly recommend bringing everyone in your household, including spouse/relatives, children and your current dog(s) to our adoption event.

2. SUBMIT APPLICATION

• Submit your application if you are interested in adopting AFTER meeting with the dog(s).

• In case you have fallen in love with several dogs, you are welcome to add more than one dog to your application…it happens frequently.

• All applications are reviewed after the event is over.

3. IF SELECTED AS A MATCH

• Calls are made Sunday evening - Wednesday night. Most calls are made Sunday evening or Monday morning. If you do not get a call by Wednesday evening, you were not selected as a match. *** Calls are only made to applicants selected as a match. ***

• Our goal is to place each dog in the home best suited for the dog’s individual temperament and needs.

4. HOME CHECK / CONTRACT & DONATION / BEGIN ENJOYING NEW RESCUE DOG!

• If you are selected as a match, we will call to arrange a time to bring the dog to your home for a home check. Typically home checks are scheduled very soon…within 24 - 72 hours.

• Home checks are conducted to ensure safety and security of the home, as well as go over details about the rescue and their records, provide you with helpful shopping information and answer any questions you may have.

• Upon an approved home check, an adoption contract is signed, donation is collected…and you can begin enjoying your new rescue immediately!

PRIOR TO ADOPTION, ALL RESCUES ARE:
SPAYED/NEUTERED
VACCINATED
MICROCHIPPED
DE-FLEAED
DE-WORMED
