I am a retired, disabled veteran. I moved to Tennessee in April 2008, In May of that year, I rescued my first dog from the middle of a busy highway in a wooded area of the county where I now live. she was dirty, malnurished, and covered in parisites. She was also pregnant and blessed us with 9 puppies less than two weeks later. I still have Lucy, all of her puppies have long since been adopted or transported to the North Shore Animal League in New York. Since that first rescue, my sister and I have rescued over 750 dogs and puppies, adopted out over 200, and transported to other no-kill facilities in New York, Georgia, and Florida over 150. Additionally, we have sent more than 300 puppies and/or small breed dogs to the North Shore Animal League in NY.
Dogs are my passion and I tremble at the thought of even one being neglected or abused. Every Dog on my property was either seized by the local animal shelter and would have been euthinized, or were abandoned and rescued, then brought to us. We currently house, provide vet services to, feed, water, clean up after, and love over 100 dogs and puppies at the time of this writing.
