IMPS was created after a Yahoo discussion group banded together to save a Miniature Pinscher that was being kept in a garage during the worst of the summer heat in FL. Those people decided there were numerous minpins in need across the country and why should they stop at helping just one?
The IMPS region of MN, ND, SD is comprised of volunteers that take these homeless minpins into their homes providing them with food, shelter and plenty of love until a home is found. Minpins are a breed that isn't for everyone since they can be stubborn, mischievous, barky and protective but if they do capture your heart you'll be a slave for life. If you are interested in fostering or volunteering for IMPS let us know! We have an email list we use to share stories and ask questions because these crazy little minpins do some pretty funny things sometimes!

Additional adoption info
The process involves an application filled out and submitted on our website (www.minpinrescue.org) then following the application being received we will contact you to discuss potential dogs that would be suitable. Once we feel we have enough information to know we can help you find a match we will do some form of home visit (this is to help give you tips of things we may think could become issues for you after adoption) and set up appointments for you to meet some of the possible dogs suited to you and your family/situation. The adoption fees vary on our dogs because it is in part based on the amount we have in medical bills but they typically are between $200-450 and this includes spay/neuter, Rabies, distemper, heartworm check and microchip.
