Fried's Cat Shelter is a cageless, not-for-profit, no-kill cat shelter. We take care of homeless and unwanted cats and try to find them new homes. Hans and Lucille Fried founded the shelter in 1977. They couldn't stand seeing all the needless killing that was going on. They were adamant about spaying and neutering being the answer to the over population of animals. Hans was known for saying "To save a life is more in conformity with God's Law than to kill."
