We're sorry to say we are a kill Shelter , but we do our best to get homes for the pets we have.We will work with State recognized 501 rescues.At no time do we want to put a healthy adoptable pet down , and hope this site can help prevent that.

We adopt to Essex County , King George , Caroline , King and Queen , Lancaster , Middlesex , Westmoreland , and Richmond County. If you do not live in one of these Counties we still can helpt you adopt one of our pets.

To adopt there is a $25 adoption fee with an adoption contract and police background check included.If you live in Essex County or a bordering County you have 30 days to spay/neuture.If you do not live in Essex or a bordering County the pet must be spayed/neutured before you can take the pet home. Puppies under 5 months can NOT be adopted to non bordering Counties.
.WE DO NOT HAVE A STAFF VET.THE COUNTY PAYS FULL VET PRICES FOR ANY SERVICES WE RECIEVE.IF AN ANIMAL CAN BE SPAYED/NEUTURED IT'S BECAUSE A RESCUE GROUP SUPPLIED CERTIFICATES.IF AN ANIMALS BIO SAYS IT HAS SHOTS THAT MEANS THEY HAVE A PARVO COMBO SHOT. THE COUNTY DOES NOT PAY FOR A RABIE SHOT.We have the right to refuse an adoption if we do not feel the adoption would not be in the best interest of the pet.This seldom happens , but does once in awhile.We do adopt out all guard dog breeds to the right homes and the right homes only.
