OUR MISSION

To protect and promote the welfare of local animals through rescue, rehabilitation and legislation.

WHO WE ARE

Pagosa Animal Advocates is a progressive, all-volunteer, nonprofit 501c3 organization working to improve the lives of companion animals in the Pagosa Springs, CO area. We are not affiliated with any other organization, local or national.

We are not fanatics who believe animals should have more rights than people. We do not have a hidden vegetarian, vegan or anti-hunting/fishing agenda. We are simply a group of fair-minded people with legitimate concerns about the humane treatment of companion animals in our community. We will not abandon any animal we promise to help.

OUR AREAS OF FOCUS

- Keeping people and their companion animals together
- Providing foster care and new homes for special needs and elderly pets
- Controlling the overpopulation of animals through spaying and neutering
- Bringing chained and penned dogs into the home and family
- Promoting the humane treatment of animals through better laws
- Getting kids and teens involved with animals
