HOPE for Animals is an all volunteer, non-profit, no-kill animal rescue group. We rescue approximately 200 stray animals from the streets and those suffering neglect or abuse. Our group formed 15 years ago to give the citizens of this area an alternative to the local parish run kill shelters. Volunteers conduct fundraisers year round to fund all medical expenses, including immunizations, spay/neuter, heartworm treatment and treatment of existing medical conditions or injuries. Through grants, donations, and adoption fees, HOPE also conducts a feral cat Trap-Neuter-Release program. Our mission is provide rescue, rehabilitate and re-home the homeless animals in this area.
