We are an open admission Shelter, we do not turn any animal away. Our mission is to care for the lost, homeless and forgotten animals in Rapid City and the surrounding areas. Our goal is to achieve zero euthanasia, we encourage the community to spay and neuter their pets, to acquire pets through humane sources, we strive to help families keep their beloved pets, and we support the human-animal bond.
We believe that by addressing the root causes of animals entering the shelter we can ensure that every animal in need will have the opportunity to find a loving home, thereby ending euthanasia.
