Rescue FAQs

Perfect Pets Rescue, Inc. is a non-profit, GA Department of Agriculture licensed dog rescue. We take in mostly small and medium sized dogs of any breed. All our animals come from high-kill shelters in GA. We foster them in GA where they get vetted, spayed/neutered, and when they are healthy we transport them to NY. We have many wonderful dogs that need homes. Visit our website Click Here for the official Perfect Pets Rescue website.

An application is required to start the adoption process, there is no fee to apply BUT YOU MUST BE AT LEAST 21 YEARS OLD. WE ARE NOT A SHELTER, all dogs are fostered in private homes. You will need to apply before meeting a dog. Visit www.perfectpetsrescue.org for more information and the online application.

We are all volunteers and have jobs, families, fosters and pets of our own to care for. We do our best to reply as quickly as possible. Please be patient but if you have not heard back within 48-72 hrs, please inquire again.

Additional adoption info

Our dog adoption fee is between $350-$400 and includes spay/neuter, Rabies/Bordatella/Distemper shots (depending on age), Dewormer, Heartworm test (for dogs older than 6 months) and microchipping as well as flea preventative and the first dose of Heartgard (or other heartworm prevention). Please visit our website for our online application form. www.perfectpetsrescue.org. We check vet and personal references and conduct home visits if we think it is necessary.

All our cats have been spayed/neutered, combo tested, dewormed, UTD on shots and are microchipped.
