HOPE for Pets is a 501(C)3 non-profit organization. We are dedicated to improving the lives of stray, shelter and companion animals in Bullitt County, Ky. Our programs are designed to eliminate pet overpopulation and provide assistance for pet care needs to the elderly, low-income and special need members of our community. We also offer educational programs and material regarding responsible pet ownership.

We have an Adoption Application to be completed by potential adopters. References including vet checks are included in the process. Home visits may be required. After the adoption is approved, a contract is signed by both the organization and the adopters. Any pet adopted must be spayed or neutered prior to going to their new home. The adoption fee for dogs is $100.00 and the adoption fee for cats is $65.00. The spay/neuter surgery, vaccinations and heartworm test is included in the adoption fee.
