The Healthipet Network was founded to assist avian and exotic animal shelters and rescues in placing avian companions and exotic animals in forever loving homes outside of their area or home state. It utilizes volunteers to perform home inspections prior to placement. We operate as a non-profit organization and funding comes from donations, grants, adoption fees, and membership dues. Five separate individuals performing different duties form our board and govern us. This board makes all final decisions. We hope to broaden the reach of the network to include the entire United States. We intend to utilize state representatives in close contact with the Network to effectively and efficiently handle all issues and ensure the best outcome for the avian and animal placements. In addition, we hope to obtain funding to purchase a building to be used as our home office and rescue, with primary concern being disaster relief situations and overflow from other rescues.
