The Animal Rescue Committee of Slave Lake is a not for profit group of volunteers whose aim is to work with the town to rescue homeless and abandoned animals in our community and surrounding areas.
We wish to provide veterinary treatment to sick or injured animals and temporary foster homes while waiting for responsible permanent homes to be found.
We encourage the spay and neuter of animals in order to reduce population, suffering and disease.
We promote RESPONSIBLE pet ownership, humae treatment, compassion and respect for all animals.

Additional adoption info
We do have an Adoption fee which is the cost of the animals vet bill. We do not make money off of our rescued animals. Our dogs are spayed/neutered with all shots and dewormed before they are adopted out and the adoption fee is coming this cost.
We do also have a contract when adopting puppies under the age of 6 months who can not be spayed/neutered yet. We required the adopting family to spay/neuter their pet when it comes of age.
HeARTs Speak develops resources that help shelter animals to be seen and find homes, ultimately transforming public perceptions of pet adoption, shelters, and animals in need. Each year our work helps nearly 1 million pets in your community and beyond.
