Safe Haven is a 501c3 non-profit organization. All of our pets are in foster care awaiting adoption. Safe Haven was started in 2006, to rescue pets on death row at our local city facility. We also have rescued strays and owner turn ins. Safe Haven has rescued and adopted out to loving families close to 1500 since the end of 2006, cats and dogs and 1 parrot. Safe Haven has had 4 acreas of land donated to us in Woodville, Al. on Hwy 72 West. We are trying to raise money now to build the first NO-KILL Shelter in Jackson County. All of our funding is done by fundraising constantly. To pay for supplies, food and vet exspense. Safe Haven keeps a average of 50 to 100 pets. One pet gets adopted we rescue another.

All pets have had all vaccinations, spayed and neutered, wormed several times, and heartworm check put on heartworm preventive, all cats leukemia, aids check. All of Safe Haven pets get the works before getting a forever home. We would love the new owners to have a fenced yard ,but thats not always the case. We have a legal binding contract. Safe Haven does in home housechecks to make sure everyone is being taken care of and happy, that everyone has settled in. If an adoption doesnt work out then the pet has to be returned to us. We believe strongly NO PET needs to live on a chain or to ride in the back of a pickup truck.
