The KCAF has been serving the community since 1994. We are a community outreach organization and do not, at this time, maintain a shelter. Our pets are usually housed by foster homes. Our primary focus to eliminate abandoned and neglected pets is low-cost spay/neuter. We transport pets to clinics that will work with us to provide these services at prices that are accessible to low-income families. We maintain TNR programs for feral cats. We provide State of Illinois certified humane investigators to help stop abuse and neglect. Our rescue and adoption programs are based on rescuing pets that would otherwise continue in abusive situations or have been abandoned.
