Freedom Service Dogs, Inc. rescues dogs from area shelters and custom trains each dog to assist people with disabilities. Our custom trained service dogs assist their partners in day-to-day activities providing their human companions with a greater degree of independence and an overall higher quality of life.

General information
Freedom Service Dogs (FSD) often has dogs available for adoption that we have had to release because they either (a) do not have the temperament for full-service dog certification or (b) they may be timid, easily distracted, or unable to resist chasing the occasional squirrel. While they may not have what it takes to be a service dog, we feel that these dogs make excellent family companions.

Cost
Freedom Service Dogs requests a minimum adoption donation of $200-$300 depending on the dogs level of training to help recover a portion of the medical and evaluation expense incurred with each dog. All dogs are current on distemper combo, kennel cough, and rabies vaccinations (unless otherwise noted). The donation also covers a microchip ID. Most dogs have had eye examinations; many have had hip, shoulder, and elbow X-rays.
