The Pope Memorial Frontier Animals Shelter is primarily a volunteer organization that has been in operation since 1993. In the past the organization was run strictly out of foster homes but now we have a wonderful shelter in
Northern Vermont. Our primary goals are to find
loving, permanent homes for pets and to help control
the pet overpopulation by having all the animals we
adopt out spayed or neutered.

The Pope Merorial Frontier Animal Shelter is
dedicated to improving the welfare of the animals of
Orleans and Essex counties by sheltering and caring
for lost and unwanted animals, spaying and neutering,
placing animals in humane environments, and
implementing programs to provide services for the
promotion of responsible pet ownership
Additional adoption info
Potential adopters must visit the animals and fill out our
pre-adoption information sheet. Then, if there is a pet that you would like as a member of your family, we recommend that you take 48 hours to give us a chance to go over your information, making sure that your chosen pet is a good match for you, and to give yourself a chance to seriously consider the adoption. We hope that adoptions will be permanent and families must remember that this often means a 12-14 year commitment to the care and loving of your chosen pet. Please log onto our main page www.frontieranimalsociety.com for the adoption fee listing.
