We are the only full service shelter in the state of Kansas. We accept any animal for any reason and euthanize for temperament and severe injury and illness only.

We investigate all cruelty and neglect cases in our county and offer 24 hour emergency services for un-owned injured pets.





We work to change laws locally, state-wide and across the nation to benefit animals.

Additional adoption info

We do same day adoptions, provided the animal is ready and available. All dogs must leave with a leash and collar. All cats must leave with a collar and in a carrier. Handheld pets must leave in an appropriate cage/carrier.
With the adoption for cats and dogs you receive a free exam from participating veterinarians, 30 days of medical coverage, a microchip and a small bag of food.
Handheld pets receive the free exam.
