The Buck Animal Welfare Fund, is based in Emporia, Kansas and serves the local area. We are a non-profit 501(c)(3) animal welfare organization that actively rescues dogs and cats in need from area shelters. We actively promote spay and neuter of companion animals and provide the community with a monthly reduced cost spay neuter program.
Additional adoption info
An adoption application, veterinary reference check and home site check are required prior to being approved for adoption. Once approved the applicant is required to complete an adoption contract and pay an adoption fee. Adoption fee for cats is $90 which includes their spay/neuter, FeLV/FIV test, rabies vaccine, FVRCP vaccines, and deworming. Adoption fee for dogs ranges from $50- to $250 depending upon the health, age, temperament, and breed of dog available for adoption. All adoption fees collected go towards defraying the cost of veterinary expenses for all the animals in our care.
