The Hobe Sound Animal Protection League is a non profit 501 (c) (3), no-kill, feline rescue group. HSAPL uses the TNR Program (trap, neuter, return or re-home) with cats that have been abandoned. We have found this to be the most humane method of controlling the overpopulation of homeless cats in this country.
With your support our organization has made vast strides toward educating the residents on the treasure coast about the humane choices they can make to help in the battle against overpopulation of unwanted pets. We salute you, and we promise to continue with our work throughout the coming years.
Our sanctuary at Caring Fields in Palm City, Florida is currently housing many cats that are adoptable. We also house non-adoptable cats who are not fully socialized or have disabilities that may prevent them from finding "forever" homes.
We are extremely proud of our very successful track record with the TNR Program. Since 2001 we have spayed and neutered over 600 cats in various colonies in Martin County, but there is still lots of work to be done.
