The Rolling Dog Ranch Animal Sanctuary in Montana rescues and shelters disabled animals. Every animal who arrives at the sanctuary gets another chance to have a safe and loving home. Our residents include blind dogs, blind horses, deaf dogs, blind cats, and animals with other neurological and orthopedic disabilities.
Although these animals may have disabilities, they do not consider themselves handicapped. They just want to get on with life and enjoy themselves. Thanks to the support of the sanctuary's friends, that's what they get to do here.

Our disabled animals arrive at the sanctuary from all over the United States, and we also have taken in animals from Canada as well as a few other countries. We adopt out to qualified families who live within a one-day drive of the ranch, which means generally as far as Seattle, Portland and Salt Lake City.
Additional adoption info
We require a written application and an interview prior to adoption, as well as vet references. We want to be sure the adoption will be a lasting success for both the animal and the new adopter. In the event the adoption does not work out, however, we ask adopters to commit to returning the animal to the sanctuary.
As a condition of adoption, we also require that the adopter agree to provide indoor, heated living quarters for the animal. We spay or neuter all animals before they are placed up for adoption. Fenced yards are a requirement for dogs.
