Rescue FAQs

Adopt A Rescued Pet, Inc. does home visits prior to adoptions, therefore, we only adopt to the Citrus County and adjoining county areas.

Additional adoption info

Prospective adopters must complete an adoption form and sign an adoption agreement. Potential adopters are screened to make an appropriate match with a new pet. Information like the number of children and pets in the household is important in determining the best pet for that particular home. A home visit is made before each adoption and another may be scheduled at a later date to ensure all around satisfaction both for the pet and adoptive family.
