Homeward Bound was started by Veterinary students at Mississippi State University. These students from the Northeast were shocked by the number of animals in the local shelters. Sadly, many shelter animals are euthanized because of overpopulation problems. Homeward Bound works with these shelters to find homes for their animals in the Northeast.
With the help of more volunteers, Homeward Bound has continued to grow. Right now, the organizations saves "a pet a day."
Homeward Bound does this in order to try to save lives.
You can help by adopting and spaying/neutering your pet!
