Russell Refuge provides temporary shelter to Jack Russell Terriers in the northeastern United States that are no longer wanted or have been placed in public shelters. We provide medical care before adoption and find suitable homes for terriers in our care. Our organization is funded entirely by donations. These donations are used for temporary housing, spaying/neutering, transportation from shelters, veterinary treatments, and food.

Additional adoption info
We accept applications online or by mail from adults who want to adopt Jack Russell Terriers. We require vet and personal references which are checked. We may require a home visit. We do not ship dogs so applicants need to be able to come to the Refuge in person if they adopt a dog. There is an adoption fee but no application fee.
