I am a retired public school teacher, mother of 3, grandma of 7, and I do this because I love to join people and pets. I have always been one to bring home strays, so this is just a part of who I am. I own a small hobby farm with dogs, cats, rabbits, horses, sheep and goats..

Becky's Best Buddies is a one person All-Breed Rescue and Placement Service. Really, it is a connection! I rehome stray, impounded, seized, and owner surrender animals. I am not a training facility, and large dogs are not kept in the home.I do not have space for more than a handful of rescue dogs at one time. All dogs get vaccinations and are required to be neutered and spayed if they aren't already sterilized at adoption. I make the appointments and transports pets as soon as a pet is of appropriate age. Frequently, I am helped when people adopt their new family member before it is vetted, and they take that upon themselves. Thanks! This is not the way a lot of groups work, but it has worked for me. I have been serving the Stevens County, WA area for over 20 years. In that time I have placed about 1000 pets; dogs, cats, horses, goats, etc! In the last couple years, Becky's Best Buddies has taken in between 65 and 80 dogs per year.
Additional adoption info
Persons adopting from me through internet contact are required to show me photos of the area where the dog will spend most of its time, a vet's number and the number of a person who has known the potential adopter for at least 5 years. I do not require a fee, donations are appreciated. If a dog does not work out for the adopter, I can usually take it back right away, but if I have no room, I will work to find a new placement.
