Litters 'n Critters Rescue Society is a 100% Volunteer all breed DOG SPECIFIC rescue. We are a registered society and a not for profit rescue that was formed on April 17, 2007 and is dedicated solely to the well being of DOGS of any breed, big and small. We try our best to help as many dogs as we can, whether they be mix breeds or purebreds.. We place the welfare of the pets that come into our rescue first and foremost.
We are an independent, self governed animal rescue organization, that has a board of directors and many volunteers that are located in several parts of Nova Scotia. We do not have a shelter or a physical address as we rely solely on the fostering process. We do not receive grants or government funding so our only means of raising money is through fundraising and private donations. All money raised goes directly to help dogs, not one penny goes to people.
We advocate rehabilitation and adoption of companion dogs and we assist people with rehoming their dogs. We help to inform the public on responsible pet ownership and how to make a knowledgeable decision on choosing a family dog. We emphasize the importance of spaying and neutering your pet and we assist people in finding humane training methods.
There are many different approaches to rescue, but the universal thread that connects all rescuers is their love and passion for animals. Please help save a life by adopting a rescued animal. If you would like to contact us, please email us at littersncritters@eastlink.ca and any one of our members will reply.
