True Heart Pinscher Rescue was founded in 2006 in Kentucky. Our volunteers are the life-force of our organization. We do not have a shelter, so all of our available dogs are fostered in a volunteer home.
Since 2006 we have branched out to many new states, and have included all of the Pinscher Breeds (Doberman, German and Miniature) as part of our rescue. We will, on occasion, take in dogs outside of these breeds based on open foster homes, and the immediate needs of the dogs.

True Heart Pinscher Rescue currently operates in IL, IN, KY, MI, MO, NC, OH and PA. We prefer to adopt our dogs out to individuals that live within these states, or within 50 miles of the state border.
Additional adoption info
All interested adopters must fill out an adoption application, located on our website http://www.trueheartrescue.com. This application will be reviewed by our volunteer staff and then all data will be passed to our board for a final ruling. During the application process you may be contacted by a True Heart Volunteer to get more information, or provide clarification on an issue.
Because we are a volunteer organization, application processing times may vary based on the number of open applications, and available parties to process them.
A home visit is required for all dog adoptions. If a home visit cannot be completed, the adoption will not be allowed.
If you are a senior, and qualify for the adoption of one of our senior foster dogs, adoption fees may be reduced or waived as part of our Silver Hearts for Seniors program. Other adoption fees are assigned based on the dog age, and fees associated with the rescue of the dog. Adoption fees are listed on our website on the listing for each dog.
