We are the dog control facility for Stark County, OH. We are responsible for all strays, bite quarantines and licensing. If a dog is picked up as a stray, he is held for 72 hrs before he is available for adoption. We do have to euthanize for cage space, illness or aggression. We have volunteers who temperament test the dogs so more information is available.

12.00 license, 15.00 adoption fee, and 35.00 spay/neuter deposit which is refunded to you after the dog is fixed. This also includes a 5 way shot. I(f you wish for the dog to be heartworm tested prior to adoption, that is available at an additional fee. That must be paid regardless if the dog tests negative or positive.) Rescues with 501c3 status can adopt dogs at a reduced fee. We take cash only.
If someone wishes to adopt a dog before its 72 hr hold is up, they may place a "hold" on that dog. The hold is good for the day the dog can go. We take up to three holds on each dog. (If the first hold drops off or doesn't show, the second hold has 24 hrs to get the dog, etc).
