We are a sighthound rescue that started taking in dogs in November of 2005. We officially founded our rescue in August of 2006. We focus mainly on getting Italian Greyhounds out of puppy mills and back yard breeders, but we will help find good homes for any sight hound, including but not limited to afghans, whippets, salukis, borzoi, great danes, greyhounds, and most other sight hound, and when we have the room we will take in other breeds.
If you have a Italian Greyhound or Sight hound that you need help finding a new home for, or are looking for a sight hound, please contact us and if we don't have anything available we can either put you on our waiting list or send you to another rescue that may have what you're looking for.
We are always willing to talk with people who are wanting and Italian Greyhound or other sight hound and teach them about these wonderful dogs, and help them find the right dog for them if they qualify. We also work to educate the public, and are always willing to try to help out in any way we can to try to make things work and keep these dogs in their homes instead of having to rehome them. If you need some help with your IG or other small dog or sight hound, please contact us, we're always happy to help!!!
All of our dogs are spayed/neutered, have their teeth cleaned if needed, microchipped, UTD on shots, heart worm tested and started on prevention, and had any other medical problems they may have treated by our vet and been given a clean bill of health prior to placement. .

We do both in state and out of state adoptions, although certain dogs with special needs we will only adopt out locally so we can keep a closer eye on them.
Additional adoption info
All of our dogs are spayed/neutered, have their teeth cleaned if needed, microchipped, UTD on shots, heart worm tested and started on prevention, and had any other medical problems they may have treated by our vet and been given a clean bill of health prior to placement. We also send our dogs home with a collar/leash, martingle collar for sighthound breeds, shot records, and whatever the dog came to rescue with if it was an owner surrender. Our adoption fees vary based on the history of the dog. Mill dogs have higher fees because they have higher medical needs when they come in. Younger dogs have higher adoption fees to help us cover some of the bills on older and special needs dogs. Older and special needs dogs have lower adoption fees as we understand these dogs will usually require a much larger financial commitment to keep them healthy. Our average adoption fee is $300. Adoption fees may be higher or lower depending on paticular dog you're interested in. Generally dogs that come from the shelter have lower adoption fees as they often have some of their vet work done at the time we pull them from the shelter. Our adoption fees are higher on our puppies because they are easy to place, and we use the excess to be able to afford the care for our special needs cases where vet bills on an individual dog often exceed $1000. We put between $300 and $400 a piece into each and every dog that comes into rescue between dentals, shots, heartworm testing, blood work when needed, spay/neuter, microchipping, and everything else they need while in our care. When you adopt a dog from us, we do our very best to make sure you're getting the healthiest dog possible, or make sure all health and/or behavioral problems are discussed in detail.
